That's strange. You seem to be abiding the dual channel rules. I suppose just try experimenting removing first the Kingston RAM and leaving the Apple/Samsung, and then switching the process and seeing how that turns out.

I've read a bit about pageouts and RAM/OSX performance on MacRumors, but what I haven't been able to determine is how many pageouts are too many?

For the last 3 hours, I have been using a Dual 1.8 with 1.5GB RAM and have had the following pageins/pageouts according to Activity Monitor: 28883/1184.

Is this an indication that I need more RAM? Is there some type of rule or formula to determine how much I need based on the number of these pageouts?

Some sort of moisture may have seeped in through the back glass through humid temperatures/condensation/etc.

As long as the moisture sensors haven't been tripped (look at the indicator in the dock connector - if the indicator is white, you may be fine, if it's orange - water may have gotten into the unit) Apple will give you limited support for the issue.

They may replace the back glass of give you a refurbished unit in exchange for that phone.

i just received my gameboy advance from amacgenius :D its in great condition, the reason i got it was so i could use it to get through the boring times in the car/plane or anywhere where i have nothing to do for an extensive amount of time, i always liked the pokemon gameboy games, and i wouldn't mind playing the newer version called firered, i remake of the pokemon red game i used to have along time ago. I don't really need the wireless adapter that comes with it, unless you have absolutely no use for it. I don't really need the box and packaging, as long as it works i'm happy, i am looking to get it for roughly 10-20$ depending on what comes with it (e.i wireless adapter) and if it is fairly used or not. I can trade the 2 (or three) sheets of the apple stickers i have (the ones that are like the stickers that come with the current ones, but just the classic coloured ones)

please post here and email/pm me through the forums. I don't really want any other ones, none of the newer or older ones, just FireRed or possibly Leafgreen. no color games and nothing else. just these two. please if anyone has them please sell them/ trade them to me LOL!

don't tell me to go to ebay, because i hate ebay, i would also consider trading Yoshies world 3 and the YU-GI-OH game that came with it for one of the two ones i want, or one of the ones i have plus cash or something, i have looked in numerous used games stores and found nothing, so please help!

The SGP Neo Hybrid EX rubber has just enough grip that it won't slide freely on a surface, but it still slips in and out of my jeans pocket just fine. It comes with one back protector and one screen protector, both are pretty good.

I would get the Pinlo. About the same price. Not sure about the screen shield quality. But, most people say the SGP either becomes loose or breaks after a few months, so you will likely be buying another. The Pinlo will have more longevity...

Hey guys,

I am giving away my iPad2 and would like to know how I must disable FaceTime associated wit this particular device and my e-mail. Is it enough to disable FaceTime from the app itself or do I need to disassociate this iPad with my e-mail?

In a couple of weeks, I will be buying a new iPad2 that I would like to use with my old e-mail, which is now associated with my e-mail. Maybe it is that simple that when I buy a new iPad2 and enter the same e-mail address, I will again get an e-mail message to verify it and everything will work again on a new device.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

I use MS Word at work and Pages at home and often times I switch documents between the two app's. So, I will try to just use Pages and see whether the lag problem goes away.

All my 800K floppies seem to still work without error. That said, I'm not going around storing important documents on them either. At this point I assume that any of them can fail at any time. The good news is that most old software is available on the internet. If you're worried about particular applications or documents you have on the disks, though - I'd find a way to back them up.

As far as the capacitors, all you can really do is power on the machine and see if things work. If it works, great! I'd only worry about it if the machine stops working, and deal with it then. A failed capacitor won't hurt anything else, and I doubt you're using the Plus for any mission critical work. ;)

I understand, but it's frustrating.

I travel to Tokyo often, and I used to enjoy using a 3G rental SIM with my old unlocked iPhone 3G. I was of course able to use all of my contacts and make calls straight from the iPhone back then.

Since I am not going to roam on AT&T in Tokyo, it looks like I will have to rent and use a crappy cell phone while in Tokyo. :(
