Apparently Infinidock does not work on iOS 4.3 for the iPad, at least for me. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. I'm guessing it will not work until an update is released, but I figured I'd ask here if anybody else is having the same problem? And if there is a possible solution other than waiting for an update? With so much iPad 2 hoopla going on right now it has become a little more difficult to find anything using search. I'm having these issues on my iPad 1 (Classic  ) with a tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3 just to clarify.
I did the original Sn0wbreeze 2.3b1 and had Infinidock working on my iPad running iOS 4.3. I installed Infinidock first, I have just upgraded to Sn0wbreeze 2.3b3, and this time I installed winter board first, now Infinidock no longer works, I'm hoping this is related to the install order? I had also installed the mobile substrate update after Infinidock, and still had seven dock icons...

This is my first Mac. This is my first desktop since 1998. This is my first computer period since 2006.
Ever since I got my iPad on release day last year I stopped using my PC.
That all being said, I realize now that things are missing. Stuff i used to have run through my PC (media), doing all my backups and updates on my work computer, and now my photography is getting disorganized (i keep it on an external drive at the office). Its time to get a computer for real.
But I can't decide whether or not I need, or should get, anything more than the base 21.5. I will need photoshop and lightroom, but other than playing a few games, i can't think of anything that is resource intensive (ok, ripping and encoding videos would be).
It just seems like most people here get the 27 or the i7 and all of the upgrades, and I'm wondering, what am i really missing with the smaller one?

Based on the number of problems people have reported with 3rd party batteries, I wouldn't trust or recommend any battery not made by Apple.

Looks like the same as the pogo stylus. The iPad can already discern the difference between smaller capacitive stylus input and fingers, but that's all locked to private APIs. All Apple would need to do is open those up.
I have a 21 inch Cintiq and I still wish I could draw on the iPad easily, it would just be too perfect for sketching up ideas.

First, start up from the Jaguar CD and verify/repair the disk, as well as the disk permissions. Also, can you start up in single-user mode from your hard drive? (Hold Command-S as it starts up.) If you can, then do that fsck -y thing (type fsck -y I guess, I don't know more than that, lol).
I think this happened to me once (I think it was because I, erm, deleted or moved something I shouldn't have in an effort to "save disk space," back when I had a 9.5 gig hard drive). I had to reinstall the OS, but if you choose the Archive & Install option, then you won't really lose any files.

Howdy Folks.
Would it be easier to bypass the router and just plug cable direct to Xbox?
Try this first.
Why are you trying to use the router at all? It can be done, but it will complicate things a bit.

Connect the iPad to computer...when iTunes shows your iPad...in the sync options...go to the app section as stated above...there is a checkbox that says "sync all new apps" (or something like that) ...check that box... That will bring the apps you purchased or downloaded on the iPad over to iTunes on your computer where you can manage them, and therefore NOT delete them on the iPad.
Since you haven't done this yet, iTunes thinks you want to mirror what's on the computer to the iPad instead of vice versa.
Hope that made some sense.

Thanks for responding so quickly, belvdr.
I am (vaguely) familiar with the OSI stack, but is there no way to differentiate on level 3/4 then, e.g. IP addresses and routes?
Put differently, what is the actual impact of unchecking the "Send all traffic over VPN connection"? With reference to for instance
http://blog.liip.ch/archive/2006/01/07/changing-default-routes-on-os-x-on-vpn.html
it seems that if the VPN service is below the Ethernet service in the ordered list in Network, the default route is not through the VPN connection. Does this not mean that I should be able to add a new route, include the IP ranges which Boxee, Hulu and Vudu access, and then have de facto differentiation between applications (although it actually happens on level 3/4)?
Looking forward to your response. I am definitely on thin ice here.

Look at this crazy level hack someone made for the original Mario Brothers! It was a link from Digg Videos, and it's quite long, but it is the most ridiculously hard level I've ever seen in my life.

I am looking for any info on being able to program/automate some sensors around my house using wifi and my mac.
Essentially an example would be to send an email to my smartphone when our garage is open for XX amount of time... or when the sensor is tripped while where not home.
This maybe a longshot but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

If you are leaving it connected to the Time Capsule, then you should not have to install any HFS+ drivers. You should be able to turn on Windows sharing and see it over the network as an SMB/CIFS share.
If you can already see the internal drive in your network you have Windows sharing turned on, otherwise use Airport Utility to turn it on first.
B
good point.
i last booted up my windoze machine many moons ago. i wasn't sure if the fact that i always could see the TC's drive (or the USB drive hanging off my extreme) was due to having MacDrive installed or not.

Not the A-Trix. That came out in just about what seems like yesterday. :p Neither of the others even remotely. You put it in and the iPod is out of view. I really wish I could give you guys something more specific but theres not a thing on the net about or like it. :(

If the data is static the it should be in your applications resources (and you use the standard NSBundle methods). If it's not static then it should be in your applications sandboxed document area (and you'll have to find some way of getting it there so a copy will probably have to start in your applications resources) and you use the well documented method to get the documents folder (NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains)
This is basically all covered in the ISO Application Programming Guide (http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/iphone/conceptual/iphoneosprogrammingguide/Introduction/Introduction.html%23//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40007072-CH1-SW1) that all iOS developers should have read and understood all of before starting to think about any application.
Edit to add:this is 100% absolutely nothing to do with XCode which is just an IDE and everything to do with the API (Cocoa Touch) and the runtime (iOS).

This is problem is due to OS X permissions conflicts. You should remove your
current installation of Suitcase, including the OS X and Classic preference
files and then download and install using the manual installer file
available from;
ftp://support:cigar@beta.extensis.com/files/suitcase/10.2/en/suitcase10.2.2e

I'll let you know if it works incase anyone else is in the same boat

I'm the owner of the site..
The forum software had a filter on it that linked [at] with mailto.. my coadmin set that up. I removed it and fixed it.
Macoverage is the site that I probably won't be working on much, but if you know about my sites (such as the old "Make the Switch")- I often get Apple exclusives.. I need a news site to publish the articles that I find myself from inside sources at Apple and an ADC Premier account.. so I chose to start Macoverage.

I'm looking for an inexpensive recent iPod of a large capacity, mostly to use in my iPod speaker dock, so I don't really care if there are scratches on it or the battery life isn't good. And all I need is the iPod itself, any other accessories aren't really necessary.
Please post or PM offers. I would also be interested in a trade of some sorts for an iPod (I have an LCD, Ext. HD, and Ray-Bans that I'm looking to part with.) Thanks.
I've got a mint condition 80GB 5.5 gen iPod video. it's black, no scratches. What kind of LCD.... TV or computer display? size?
