Let me reiterate that I am an Engineer, not a designer. That is not my CV, but is close enough to illustrate the problem.
...The only problem that I see with either of your posted sample documents is that each looks like a CV that I would expect to see from a job applicant who doesn't understand the subtle issues associated with typing a CV. If either PDF shows messed-up characters on your system, then the problem is on you system and not within the PDF files.

Does the Bluetooth keyboard still have 2 USB ports on it like the standard keyboards have?

I just put a max (1 gig) ram upgrade in my computer from Viking (Viking Part Number: MPG4/1GBDS) and I was looking around at some other posts here and was wondering if you all thought this was a good choice? Now I am wondering due to some of the other posts on this board. Its for the ibook in my sig. Thanks. :D
Kinda impossible to tell from here, but...
Did the vendor guarantee compatibility with your Model Mac? Does it have a lifetime manufacturer's warranty? Does it work in your machine? If so, don't worry, be happy.

That's all you need.
Any book or other source that teaches you to code for one specific browser, one way or the other, is garbage.
The idea of CSS-based design on the internet is to bring nice looking pages to people all over. Not the users of one particular browser.
So far I like the Meyers book (he mentions Safari on page 1).
But so far, he's way over my head.
I think I will read the Dummies book to get a good basic understanding, and then move onto the other books.

I lined up WAY WAY WAY too early. Got to bestbuy at 3:30am.... ha! what a mistake... by 7am there were only three of us in line. by 10 am there were maybe 20 of us in line.
Bestbuy did not give out coffee, but they were very friendly, and people were in a good mood because everyone was going to get at least one... They had 15 of each kind:16gb, 32gb, and 64gb. 45 day return policy no restocking fee. I got 2 of the 16gb ones.
Michelle, if you read this, I still don't want a credit card, but I'll take some coffee!
Nice meeting ya Tommy & wife as well as Jacob....
PS YES, they still had a large number of em left when I left the store.

Hi,
I have some 2D graphics (mainly lines) that I want to look more 3D like, so they have perspective. When I use the extrude and bevel (effect> 3D) I don't get the results I wanted i.e it becomes too distorted.
I've attached a image of what I want to achieve, but I will be using 2D lines and I don't want to add any 'height', just perspective (one point).
Thanks

I think now is as good a time as any to switch. PowerPC Macs will continue to be well support for a long time. There are millions and millions of them in use right now, and that's not going to change until several years after the Intel switch is complete.

All the posters in this thread seem to be for the AV but none have responded with a strong argument for it... Does this tell you something?
Yes, by all the posters you are actually only refering to two people. You also only gave them 59 minutes to respond to you.
I am voting for AV because currently if you happen to not vote for the winner your vote is essentially worthless.
Say the person you wanted to get in didn't. With the current system that is all you get to say. Under AV say the two runners up are neck and neck and your vote would've split them if you had chosen one of them, but you didn't. With AV you still get a say on that race. Your vote still counts.
This reduces negative voting because you know your vote still counts.
You are still able to only vote for one person, if you so wish.
AV will not make it through though.

Your best choice for sure. They have them in-stock (I just checked), plus they are a real store (they have a brick and mortar location in NYC). I used them before and they also have very good customer service. I compare them to Newegg, if Newegg had a retail location.

I'm very happy that the people running DailyTunes have agreed to delete songs for the person that originally posted the songs. Thank you arn and mudbug! :)
I am quite dismayed however, at the flak I've gotten from people who just can't understand: 1) why I would change my mind about a song and, 2) why I would want to delete a song. Is this symptomatic of a society of control freaks that think if THEY can't conceive of a reason for doing something then that something must not be allowed? I'm reminded of Al Gore's recent remark about "digital brownshirts".
Let me give an example. If you notified the credit bureaus that your credit report contained false, derogatory information would you prefer that the credit bureaus merely place a disclaimer beside that false information? Of course not! You would want that derogatory information deleted, never to be found again. Why? Because you know that prospective lenders, landlords and employers reading that derogatory information will still be influenced by it, even if there is a disclaimer.
Well, a song posted in the DailyTunes data base is nowhere near as important an issue but the principle is the same.
While I congratulate DailyTunes for striking a note of freedom, there are countless other data bases out there which contain your digital footprint and you have no way, short of an act of Congress, to get that data deleted. The internet is still a very new aspect of our society and I think it is important that we proceed carefully and err toward the needs of people. Perhaps this episode serves as a cautionary tale for those who choose "the system" over freedom.
