I had an unfortunate, but very tiny Pisco spill on my left shift key.
Ever since, using the Air keyboard is very difficult. For now I am managing only with a cheap external keyboard.
Since Pisco is 40 percent alcohol based, it has mostly evaporated ever since, but the problem persists.
Is there a way to clean under the keys without voiding the warranty?
I will go to an Apple Store once back from my travels and hope for the best, but for now would like to try to fix the problem myself.
It was really a few drops of liquid, but it did its ugly job!!

How long have you had the computer, and how long has it been acting this way? Did it start after you changed any Hardware or Software on it?

is this a troll post? just curious?
Just a post noting how stupid the arguements are... Hell Apple and google no longer need to list the pros and cons its cheaper to have people call each other names over it. I am retiring as a Smartphone fanboy FANBOY. I am going to start repping Fuji apples. Their 2$ a pound that is why they are better then oranges.

If you don't have any Apple Stores located nearby, your only option would be to send the phone by mail to European Apple support for an exchange.
You will be phoneless for a couple of days waiting for a refurbished unit, though.
If I were you, I would just continue to using your phone as is, since it seems to be working just fine. If you're concerned about looks, you could get a case or try buying a back glass replacement from a website.

No, I don't think that would work. IIRC the Rev. D iMac needs low-density SO-DIMMs which are expensive. I remember paying a pretty penny to max out my Rev. D last summer.

Apparently Infinidock does not work on iOS 4.3 for the iPad, at least for me. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. I'm guessing it will not work until an update is released, but I figured I'd ask here if anybody else is having the same problem? And if there is a possible solution other than waiting for an update? With so much iPad 2 hoopla going on right now it has become a little more difficult to find anything using search. I'm having these issues on my iPad 1 (Classic  ) with a tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3 just to clarify.

That's a big kinda. All it does is call on the FTP built into Finder. Personally, I ftp via the terminal.
Right, but not eveyone likes command line to FTP. It's very visually easy.

I read somewhere that Starbucks does that type of stuff too... although I can't remember a specific time, and of course it's not a disaster anywhere close to this.
That said, any company in it's right mind would do this. In this case, yes, many, many Kudos to Apple Corporate, even more kudos to the immeasurable help provided by the local Apple staff, but to keep it in perspective I doubt any store would turn people away. It is cool that Apple controlled so much of the building that they could be self-sustaining, and it was very neat that the Managers were sent out to buy food and water before the rush. I like that the company was standing behind whatever decision the employees made - according to that article, some didn't.
Sadly, any number of first-person stories equally moving and more powerful will never be heard.

OK, I've edited my post to remove the reference. It wasn't my intention to call anyone out by name in particular.
But, however you dress it up, the level of trolling/shouting makes the MR forum very difficult to read sometimes. The ban list helps, but hiding the replies would clean things up even more.

I can't believe I did this......showed up at 2:30am and waited with folks already there since 12. First guy was there at 12, and ended up not being able to get one for whatever reason. I was fourth in line tho, and walked out of the store with the first one. Our Att had a similar amount in stock. I'm glad I waited tho. LOL.

I'm on a MBP 13", C2D 2,4 Ghz, 128 gb SSD.
I noticed improved boot time between SL and Lion, and since the latest DP2 update I went from ~22 sec boot to ~17 sec. Seems like this is something the boys in Cupertino takes seriously, and I like it!
I clock the time from pushing the power button until the OS is loaded and wifi has connected.
How big of a difference is you guys noticing, if any?

I run SPSS 19 on a virtual machine (windows XP) using Virtualbox.
Works just fine.
Everything went smoother when I upgraded to 8 Gb, though.

In an attempt to purchase the iPhone 3G on July 11th, I have decided to put my less-than-year-old iPod touch 16Gb up for sale, not only that but I'm also including Apple's Universal Dock. I originally said to myself I was looking for 195 for the iPod/Headphones/Leather Case/Box/Leads, and the dock was an optional extra at an extra 20, then I came to my senses a bit, as I was getting little if any interest in it, at that price.
So, I'm now offering it up for 170 with the dock - any thoughts on this?
This is the condition of the iPod in question:

It has the Janurary Software Update, and by the time I sell it, I expect the 2.0 software update as well.
Let me know what you think.
I'm giving it until July 1st, then I'll hit eBay.

Just fixed the problem, ran windows update there were a couple items to be updated, come to find out I didn't have Service Pack 1 installed. I assume that was the culprit, since most MS products don't really work as intended until SP1.
Pings just fine now without having to mount.

I have dealt with forms in Word for decades. I have never had a special issue with editable text in a form. However, some forms are setup with mostly non-editable text. However, your non-selectable text was created by you. It might be helpful to post a copy of the document or another that exhibits the problem so that we can examine it.
Certainly great idea.
So my problem again is that text WITHIN the form (Which I added some lorem ipsum to) I can't select individual sentences to copy/paste/edit etc. It chooses huge swaths of text or the whole form instead. This happened both in Mac Office 2008 and Win Office 2007.

I've seen them from time to time elsewhere in very limited quantities, but they are usually a bad deal. Apple refurbs come with the full factory warranty same as a new Apple. I assume they go through very high quality testing, and are repackaged as if new.
Other refurbs are essentially used computers that some third party has tested in some way, with a very short warranty that has to be handled through them. Often original accessories and CDs are not included.
But if you really want that, you can look at Powermax.com, themacstore.com, and occasionally buy.com.

I think there is a setting to determine how much CPU you want F@H to use 0-100%. At 100%, things start cooking.
I would never fold on a laptop in the first place, the heat and the fans just scare me.
It is my company work laptop, and I hate it. It has been nothing but trouble since day one, but it's never had a serious enough problem to warrant them replacing it with a new one. I'm hoping folding at home will solve diseases AND destroy this POS :)
