Hi there ! I'm close on switchin' to mac, just waiting for mac mini refresh, meantime reading for macusers feedback. As i see, there is no normal audioplayer if you don't wanna use Itunes, and some issues with video files, such as mkv containers and others, flash content problems... People are forced to use unfinished enthusiast-made soft, which of course crashes and so on. I didn't hear that from mac users earlier! All they says - Mac is just work perfect in contrast with Windows PC. May be those comments about troubles are overblown !? :confused: Please, someone, tell me truth! i'm REALY still want to buy mac, but now started to doubt. i've got so limited budget, and don't want to miss.

I feel like apple should have let the people who actually got to preorder pick up today, to lower the crowds. Also the people who have reserved phones that are camping are morons. Your gettig it as long as you show up, why waste a whole night up? The answer to play with it all day makes no sense because most of us already have os4 and in reality once you play with FaceTime and the new camera it's not that different.

Last time I jailbrok was my 3G, Now I have an i4 with 4.3.2 and when they went untethered recently I jailbroke.
I havent used many themes long enough to be sure, so this might just be the theme I'm using. However with the Aquarium theme, and I suspect many others, every day I get several banner ads that pop up in the background, behind the icons.
What the heck is the deal with that? I don't need what should be a static background image pulling web content to serve me up ads.
Is this a thing the developer of the theme controls, is it a consequence of having the jailbreak, or something else?
More importantly how do I turn it off.
I searched the forum but could not find a thread that covered this.

Did you get the OEM or Retail version? I'm ordering the OEM version, but I don't know if I'll be missing any screws or anything.
(I don't need the cables to clone my drive - I'm gonna migrate my data files using Time Machine.)

To intall in your MBP, the bare drive is all you need. There are four mounting nubby screws on the old drive you need to move to the new drive. Use a #6 Torx driver to remove them. Easy.

Can't comment on the RX 600, but I bought a 785EPX about 18 months ago. I've found that unless you use it pretty regularly (i.e. every few days) then you have to go through a cleaning cycle to unclog the jets. This coupled with the expensive nature of the (5 color) cartridges makes for expensive running costs. If I were to buy again I would go for a printer with seperate ink cartridges, and probably a Canon.

Hello, if you look at my other post on the LaCie there is some info that I got from LaCie and some cd/dvd manfs. about the type of disc you need.
The burner won't be out untill mid March and as LaCie's web page says they are taking pre-orders.

Yes only certain media will work, TDK, HP (it's their drive in it), Verbatim and only the "+" R media since none of the companies are making any other media as of yet. This was from about 3 or 4 e-mails to different companies that were given to me by LaCie. Also the discs are of a gray scale "etched" quality when burned.
You will have to look for the Lightscribe logo on the side of the dvd/cd cake packs or what ever they pack them in.

kinda funny, now when I use a pc I expect it to crash, its like I'm waiting on it to, I was at a friends house with windows 98 and he was trying to copy a cd, so he did the usual stuff with nero and called me when it didn't work, after an hour of crashing I finally got it to work, made me want to use my iBook that much more when I got back home. I should have switched much sooner, my blood pressure would have dropped faster lol!

Hi, I am about to buy am iBook g3 on eBay. The seller sates that the unit powers on but spits the cd tray out and has the dreaded blinking question mark. Can I just use my Panther install disks to reformat it? Or could this be more serious. Also, will my iBook clamshell ac adapter work on this? Thanks!

This makes a lot of sense. I suspect we may see this transition far faster than we think. What if Apple were to announce an AMD powered Power Mac at MWSF? From a software standpoint it seems almost unthinkable, but if they've found some way to do it with a minimal impact..... hmmm....

Premiere will use the other cores, but for me i'd rather 4/6 cores with a higher clock speed and the matrox compressHD card, than a more expensive 8/12 core machine, with lower clock speed and no budget left for the compress card.
I understand. I'm honestly thinking of purchasing an iMac (after the refresh). I'll add the maximum amount of Ram (or atleast 16GB) and get the best processor from the Apple Website. I think that will be the best option for me. If I become unhappy, I'll sell my iMac or return it within the 30 Day Mark.

Hi, if I want to update my jailbroken iPhone will I need to restore it before (or at any point during)?
