Can't wait to see what he does on the Duc next season..

You got that right. If he fails, I think we are going to hear Italian fans all over the world just go nuts...
If he wins, 12.21.2012 won't match what happens in Italy :)

Apple will soon be #1!
They already are in individual unit sales. But they will never be #1 in overall unit sales. Samsung, LG and others make too many different models and Apple can only make so many iPhones. They will always be #2 or #3 in overall sales unless they made drastic changes and given they are #1 in profit, I don't think they will. I think they are happy right where they are.

...Unfortunately, Apple is discontinuing support for MobileMe calendar syncing via Sync Services as of May 5th, preventing users from utilizing direct Outlook-MobileMe syncing.
Why?
Why?

I almost find it more likely that an oled keyset, similar to this would be stuck in (http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/) a mac before a entirely touchpad interface, but then again, I'm not an apple exec.

I agree this is a bummer. I was hoping to ge one of them for the wife so she would be distracted from the machine I end up getting. I wonder if the offer will come back at some point.

Have you noticed any issues without having this file? It seems to make sense this location tracking has benefits for performance of the phone in regards to signal acquisition. If there are any issues, they have been so minute as to be unnoticeable.
People were actually willing to make their phones not work properly because of their ignorance and paranoia. There is nothing wrong with a healthy skepticism of any company that has the ability to discern your location. Until I see some proof that Apple is not misusing the data or that it can't be hacked into (e.g. Sony), I don't want Apple to have this information anymore. If other people want to believe Apple based on faith, that's their prerogative; I'm going to be an atheist (just like I am with regards to religion).
Besides, while they may not be misusing it now, that doesn't mean they can't misuse it in the future.

Who said this was a dumbed down edit suite and no longer for pros?
This looks AMAZING and solves dozens of the gripes that I deal with on a day to day basis.
Thank god that Apple aren't scared of naysayers and traditionalists like user 'Full of Win'!!!

Apple should drop all Yonah products as soon as sufficient Merom chips are available to do it.
Imagine The Steve saying "Mac - all Intel, all 64-bit" in Paris.
It would be to Apple's (and third parties') advantage to get rid of all 32-bit MacIntel's as soon as possible, so that "even fatter binaries" won't be needed to support the small number of 32-bit MacIntel's sold.
It will cost Apple and others a lot of money to support both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
While this is true, developers and apple are going to have to have "even fatter binaries" to support the 32-bit machines ALREADY sold. I realize that the sooner they move to all 64-bit the sooner all software can be written for it, but lets be honest...apple is still supporting PPC...they are not ditching 32-bit processors anytime soon (as far as support goes)

Nym: No offence, but I am pretty sure that NOT ONE of the US founders was a Catholic. THere were some deists, most were Anglican, maybe a few Quakers, maybe a few Calvinists and what would later be called Baptists. Several agnostics/atheists. Being Catholic was not in fashion at the time of the US revolution...

I'm on UQ Wimax with an NEC A t e r m W M 3 5 0 0 R router. It's a POS really, I keep losing my wifi connection when I have my laptop AND my Android phone(s) connected. But it's so inconsistent, sometimes hours go by before I get an issue, sometimes it happens within minutes.
I only keep it cuz it's fairly stable with just my MBA connected, and because of the amazing 8 hours of battery.
This was plan with no contract, and flat fee for unlimited (actually really unlimited, this is Japan!) data. 4490/month. With contract is 500 cheaper or something, maybe 1000. Can't remember. Device itself was 5100, and activation was another 2-3000.
Patrix.
Thanks for the info, I need to find a good reasonable price on an iPad sim card (the AT&T international rates are a joke)!
We have a bunch of free wifi hot spots on the bases so my laptops are fine with those but the iOS devices don't play well with them and the ISP doens't really seem to care to want to fix that connectivity...

You're going to want to install Flip 4 Mac or whatever it's called. Plays windows media within QT shell.

I hadn't installed Flip4Mac yet.
Thanks :)

So they are supposedly not going to announce the new iPhone at WWDC and hold a entire, secondary event about a week later?
Stupidest rumor I've ever heard.

but what is there to get excited about? spotlight (which is rarely used) is faster...wooo... running windows easier...great, not really an upgrade to the mac os, though...
i'm going to assume we're gonna get these things, but there will almost certainly be some big features that we haven't thought of yet.
I use spotlight a lot. I wish had more "power" (or pro?) features, tho. I also wish it were faster on my G4.

I just went to Best Buy too. All they would say is that they will hold me a iphone when available and that no one is guaranteed an iphone on launch day but that they should get enough to meet the preorders.
I asked if this included the white iphone, considering that Apple and At&t are not offering it, and I was told by the clerk who was helping me that he checked all the Best Buy employee news and email and that he has been told the white iphone will be available at launch.
So I ordered 2 white 32GB phones. Crossing fingers....

Funny how Apple chooses to drop support for the only other app than iMovie that I even care about.
Where has Apple announced anything? This is nothing more than an Amazon placeholder for a book - such things have been shown to be very unreliable.
