I lined up for the iPhone 3G last year! And I lined up with my girlfriend for the Palm Pre last weekend (http://www.crazyhawt.com/2009/06/06/palm-pre-waiting-in-line-first-impressions/). This year, i'm doing this by mail :). My 3GS should arrive on the 19th.

You should learn how to use PHP to feed information from a language file instead, like the method I used on Too Cool For IE (http://www.w3junkies.com/toocool/)

just an update.. I thought best buy was supposed to be doing the ticket system at 10am ?
I just called them and I was told that she cannot confirm on any of it .. except that iPads are being released tomorrow

apple store @ pacific centre said they are doing ipads at 5 but don't know the quantity/stock ...
this is so frustrating I should've just gotten the ipad from the states last week or something

Thanks for all the responses. I've heard good things about Linotypes Font Explorer, so I might have a look at that for my system, as Suitcase is becoming a pain to use!

I'm planning on coming. I didn't pre-order so I'll get there pretty early. I'm going to call the store this week and try to find out if they have an idea of the number of phones not already sold through pre-order.
FWIW, I was walking by the store this weekend on the way to somewhere else so I popped in and I asked one of the workers if they were planning on having very many phones beyond the pre-order batch.
He did say that they were planning on having "some" but that he wasn't sure how long that batch would last hehe.

I have a hadware modded (replaced with 128K ROM) radeon 7000 64MB card. I should have it on one of my old G3s. For 50$ + 5$(priority mail shipping?)

Both mint and tested (receipt for warranty available as well I believe but would have to dig through files).

I deleted my time machine preferences and started from scratch (full reset as its called). It backed up last night and then this morning it reported that the disk was full. It was more of an alert than an error. I said OK and started the next backup and it failed, same error. I've got 641GB of free space on the disk! My backup set is large but it should only be backing up the changes so it shouldn't be bombing out. Nothing on my computer changed over night (or sure as hell not 641GB worth of changes!

Hey all,
Long time listener first time caller, err I mean poster. I bought my first MacBook Pro (early 17", 2.3GHz, 8GB ram, anti-glare) in March and absolutely love it! Anyway the new iMacs were announced (as I'm sure everyone is aware of lol) and I started thinking about getting an iMac as my main machine and selling my 17" MBP. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan so this wouldn't be until July when we get back, but a friend is ready to buy my 17, in fact we've already worked out a good price for both us of :D
So now the only thing left to decide is, do I get the 2.7GHz 13 inch, or the 2.0GHz 15 inch. I priced the 13" at $1748 ($1499 base + $249 AppleCare) versus the 15" (lower end model) at $2298 ($1799 base + $150 for hi-res anti-glare + $349 AppleCare). I'm gonna upgrade the RAM and HDDs myself, (getting an OptiBay, 256GB c300, and 750GB Scorpio Black for the new laptop too lol) so the cost for that is gonna be the same regardless of which model I get. I also like the idea of being able to just walk into an Apple Store and leaving with my new laptop, do they normally stock the hi-res anti-glare 15"?
I'd mostly be using the laptop while traveling (or deploying again lol), I use Aperture regularly (check out my Photography site at www.aaronpbrown.com) and may occasionally use Final Cut Express. Am I gonna miss the real estate on a 13" MBP, especially coming from a 17"? Also is the dedicated graphics, extra screen and quad core worth $550 over the 13?

Just thought I would say, I have retinapad 1.1.2 (the updated version for 4.3.1) and it works perfectly on 4.3.1. Even fixes the bugs in 1.1.1.
So I would double check if I were you. It is neither dead nor broken as far as I can see.
I have the same version.. it was 1.1.2 before 4.3.1 came out iirc. Either way, my apps all crash immediately when retinapad is enabled for them.. if i turn it off, they open fine.. ive tried reinstalling numerous times.

Well, I'm not familiar with your location :D , but if you're in the states, you might want to check out EB Games/Gamestop/Rhino. Normally, these stores aren't worth the hassle, but when looking for old game accessories, you gotta take what you can get. Also, look for garage sales. Might be able to pick one up for very little, though you stand the chance of spending more on gas then on the product itself. Then, there's always ebay.
