That definitely sounds like there is something wonky in your machine - I can attest that the 9400M generally works fine, having both my primary desktop and primary laptop based around it. If you can, I'd get it checked out by Apple.

This will be correct unless the nokia JV with microsoft saves the day for windows mobile
Rumor has it that MS will go dormant (if it hasn't already) and introduce windows 8 with Nokia.
With apple having Lion OS being very similar to iOS (a single iOS on phone and PC), Microsoft might go the same way for their mobile device (making it the same or even closer with windows 8 & windows mobile 8 (or worse windows mobile 7.5 and windows 8) but one OS aka Apple
There have been several leaks of Windows 8 recently, and yes, it looks like it is incorporating aspects of the 'Metro' design into the Windows UI.
With even talk of a Windows Metro UI to replace the toned down 'Windows Basic' UI that runs on low specced machines.

well i use to charge through the wall but with the new ipods its little more difficult than that because i gotta go behind my computer and unplug the cable since the ipods use a new cable. it should take 3 hours to charge fully. if nots charging in that amount of time i would say go for the wall.

Yesterday I ordered my first MAC: MBP.
So im asking myself, if there will be maybe a "cheap" update solution to Leopard.
Some1?
When I bought my last Mac laptop (an iBook G3), I bought it just before Panther came out (about 2 months before). Apple sent me Panther in the mail for free, without me even asking. Mind you, that was in Australia, and I don't know if the policy has changed.

not that anyone cares, but I (and some Apple employees) found the problems. Apparently Sandy Bridge machines HAVE THE EXACT same problem has I have. They loaded a TIFF file from my machine onto a floor model, same deal as I have. They loaded the same file onto a pre-SB machine, loads A-OK.
So they are sending in my logs to the software engineers to make them aware of it, as I am assuming this is the first case they have encountered. I am wondering if old NEF files (such as D2x etc) have the same problem?
In anycase, lets hope they can give me an answer in the next few days.

Sorry let me clarify, I'm @ BB in SLC. There is just me here, well my chair and me. At 4PM they give you a ticket so you don't have to wait in line for the last hour. So stupid.
Did they confirm to you that they will have all models for sure?

yes wait for the powerbook G5
(heheheheheheh i have always wanted to say that)
since there will never be a powerbook G5 enjoy the waitYes, definitely wait for the PowerBook G5.
>fiftyfive
Don't you read any of the recent new from Apple?
Like the switch to Intel in 2006 -- which would make a PowerBook G5 as likely to be introduced as Pauly Shore being elected President.

I believe that it's finally time for the world to start a transition off of the Windows platform and onto OS X.

I recent had to make this same decision......
In my case, I had to chose between a Quicksilver 733 that CompUSA had for $999 (including 2 year warranty) or one of the new ones (in my case, probably the dual 867) for $1699.
I went with the Quicksilver, and with the money I saved from the new ones...I've replaced the stock hard drive with 2 WD Special Edition drives, maxed out the RAM at 1.5GB, and will add a DVD-R drive. With the upgrades, I've still spent less than $1699.
I don't regret my choice at all....I realize "official" benchmarks will show my machine is slower than the new models, however, after having played with them in the store, my eyes can't tell any difference. Yes, for Photoshop and iMovie, the new ones would probably save me some time, but the Quicksilver will hold me over nicely until there is a "major" upgrade.
I'll be content to keep this until Apple goes with the new IBM chip, which seems to be able to offer a significant performance boost. Until then, I'll have a drink and wait :)

Using Quark 8, G5 PM, 10.5.8.
Connected a mac keyboard (full size white) after spilling milk over previous keyboard and killing it and now can't use:
1. Control+Shift to zoom in.
2. Control+Option to zoom out.
3. Alt to move the page around.

Apple makes nice money off every iOS devices they sell. With App store, iTunes store and iBook store, their Software and hardware sales will grow.
Their MBA sales are growing and those devices aren't cheap.
Apple is going to soon have more than 100 billion dollars in their backyard.
Btw, Apple is going to blow away on next Quarter as long as they can launch iPhone 5 on both AT&T and Verizon. Doubt that they will put LTE chip inside, but it will be available on two of the biggest networks in the US. This will not stop.

That doesn't mean it will be unusable.
This is not always true, this is what Snow Leapord was about. Performance, footprint, and constant overhead, are now requirements for all operating systems as performance upgrades are lesser and more expensive to come by.

Well, I'm gonna say definitely creepy, but I assume that's where you were going. I'm not all that fond of the bokeh either, and yet I think it kind of adds to the creepy feel. High likelihood that someone's in a shallow grave back there.
Although I do like using the the rule of thirds usually, I feel this one is fine by the edge. Perhaps even a little closer to the edge would be better so that part of the subject (?) is cut off. Maybe.
