Well I don't turn it or my computer off either ;)
My iMac hasn't been off since I bought it in Sept 2010 and the keyboard is still on its original batteries - with 45% remaining.

Easy enough to look in the G5 and count the sockets. It depends on the age of your machine.
PC RAM is not necessarily compatible -- Look for RAM from a reputable vendor who tests and guarantees comptibility with your model Mac, offers a lifetime warranty and a no-cost return if it doesn't work.
Thanks

If you have a screen protecter it could be dirt under the screen protecter.

That's sweet! How secure are those latches? I'd be worried about it coming open and dumping the MBP, which would make me cry.
I'm also curious with what you've lined the inside to protect the MBP.

As a Mac user just avoid file sharing sites and start using OpenDNS.com (http://www.opendns.com/). They have an instructional video (http://www.opendns.com/support/videos/basic) to show you how to use it. This way you can block know Trojan hosting sites from ever reaching you along with blocking any site you want without having to install any software on your network.
Oh, by the way OpenDNS is in London (http://blog.opendns.com/2006/12/31/live-from-london-its-opendns/) and in Amsterdam (http://blog.opendns.com/2009/08/31/opendns-amsterdam/), as well as other servers around the world.

I'm a great fan of Ruby myself. Check out MacRuby (http://www.macruby.org/) which runs directly on top of the Objective-C runtime, not via a bridge. Check out Aimonetti, Mark (2011?) MacRuby : the definitive guide, O'Reilly (http://oreilly.com/catalog/0636920000723/). It's still in early release, due for final release in July.

I am planning to make the switch from PC to Mac. I have an iPad, and soon a iPhone. Was wondering if the mac mini will be upgrading the processor from duo core to i3 or i5 in the upcoming months. Maybe I should just get a desktop iMac.

Hey Guys,
For sale is my backup 8GB iPhone. It is currently unlocked for use with any GSM carrier. As you can see from the pics, it has a crack up top and a small one on the bottom right corner. This is purely cosmetic and has no affect on the phone whatsoever. Touch sensitivity works fine anywhere on the screen as well as the phone feature/speakers. This iPhone is perfectly functioning!
Take a look at the pics and ask any questions in the thread!
I am taking offers!

Techcrunch is the LAST place I would go, even after deciding to not look any further, I still would not go there or read anything they claim.
Just my opinion.

Pssst...
...you've gotta attach that file. *Then* it's a winner ;)
I couldn't - The file size is too large. :(
(thanks for pointing that out though) I can downsize it's quality/physical size to fit the attachments but I can't replace the current one with it - it won't look right.
edit: done

The ID is the number in the URL of your profile
i.e. http://forums.macrumors.com/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=1329
1329 being the ID number.
It indicates when you joined in relation to everyone else.

"How about economics? The greek symbol represents elasticity of demand. The vertical axis (TR) represents total revenue. If this is the case, the horizontal axis would actually be the reciprocal of the price of the product. The graph, therefore, shows what is happening to total revenue (total expenditures on a good) as you raise the price of the good. When the elasticity of demand is less than one, total revenue rises as the price rises, when the elasticity of demand is equal to one, total revenue remains constant, and when demand is elastic (greater than one), total revenue decreases as the price of the good increases."

You mean do I respond to overblown media hysteria and people who don't really understand how cell phones work? No, not really.
Sorry but the antennagate is very real.
I went to my local Apple store the other day, and picked up an iPhone 4 and bridged the gap with my left hand. The bars dropped from full to 1.
Now you might say, "who holds their iPhone like that?" well, sometimes i actually do, i hold my iPhone 3G like that sometimes.
I understand that a few phones do the same thing, if i hold my iPhone 3G is an awkward position i can get it to drop bars as well. But the iPhone 4's weak spot is a very common way of holding a phone, that's where they went wrong.
It's pretty clear the iPhone 4 didn't have the media attention, and i believe Apple is keeping the iPhone 5 in secrecy so that they come out with a bang.

Not really. It has the same constraints as uploading a photo directly to MR. Size limit is 1.14MB at 600px by 600px. You could create a custom Export setting in A3 to match these requirements, but you would still need to Export them to a folder on your computer and pull them to your Album from there. Not automatic, but a workaround.

I'd say the $1999 model with the i7 3.4GHz upgrade is enough. Purchase RAM from a third party like OWC (http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2011/DDR3_21.5_27), $50 for 2x2GB, $100 for 2x4GB. You could do the latter and end up with 12GB in your system and that should be plenty. I don't think you'll in anyway need 2GB of VRAM.
(I'm assuming Pro Tools has no problem with hyper-threading in the i7)
I'll have to check into Pro Tools, including whether I can transfer my Windows license to Mac, which I doubt - so I may end up going with Logic.
Excellent suggestion on the RAM - that must mean it has 4 slots, need to install in pairs and I don't waste what ships with the machine? And the i7 sounds like a good choice too.
Thanks for the advice!

It's not restoring to either though, I've created a few c.firmware packages with pwnagetool - all returning same error code 6 as official.

I do have a lens coat on my 400mm, and the greatest benefit for me is that it keeps my hands warmer in our cold Canadian winter since I'm not holding onto bare metal.

Best time to buy shares of Apple would be when Jobs peg's it, no doubt when he's brown bread the value of the company will take a massive hit as Apple has been, publicly, very reluctant to divulge a succession plan.
