Had a SGP on my Droid and it was very good, but I am not using a protector on my IP4. I don't think it needs it.

Recently I've started getting Safari Windows with just ads, something I used to hate on Windows.
What's the best free Malware scanner for Mac?
Thanks
Are you thinking that you're infected with some sort of malware or are you looking just to block the ads?

I've already got www.gpsutton.com that's hosted on godaddy, so I'd just use that.
Looks like word press is looking the fav, unless apple release something soon!

Go to the accounts preference panel. Select the user your want to edit and select edit. You will need to enter your password in the 'current password' field to unlock the other greyed out fields.
If you are editing the administrator account, you probably won't be able to change your short name. I'm not sure what you can do here, possibly create another administrator account and delete your old incorrect account. (AFTER copying all your user files and preferences to a backup disk).
If that doesn't work, reinstall your system and build everything from scratch.
There may be a way to edit your info in Net-Info database, but I wouldn't know how to do that.

Not sure what to tell you, I had no issues using the MDP to HDMI. I have a bootcamp win7 install.
After installing windows did you insert the mac os cd and update all the drivers?

If you see a skinny, hip 20-something guy in jeans and a hooded sweat there with dark hair, you're likely looking at an imac advertisement.
On the other hand, if you see a completely bald 375 pound guy who looks like he has NOTHING to do with the typical Apple demographic -- then you've likely spotted me.

Hello gang -
I'm about to move the following guides to "iTunes Guides", as we have a ton on the main guides area now. Objections?
* Changing iTunes link behavior
* Deleting Songs From iTunes
* Free Music Videos
* Recovering Songs from an iPod
* Sharing iTunes between users
sounds fine

Buy one now seriously. If you play the waiting game, you'll never buy one because they're always something, bigger, faster, better around the corner. The iBooks are great right now for the price.

Unless you are very courious about the habbits of the former owner, I think you should just wipe it.

I think we are talking about two different things here. If we are talking about persisting a small bit of data then a plist is likely the answer. When it comes to accessing the same data from several classes then singleton is the answer. So in your case you probably want to load data from a plist into a singleton.

i am looking to upgrade from the jbl creature speakers that i have hooked up to my mac. so far i like the cambridge soundworks megaworks 211 computer speaker system. does anyone have any experience with these? is there a significant difference between them and the creatures? are there any other reccomendations?
The megaworks system is based on the 821 subwoofer, which I wrote about in this thread.

It's a great sub for the money, but I have noticed a little boominess in the upper part of it's range, but you can use iTunes graphic EQ to smooth it out.
Also, it has really decent amplifier power to drive the satellite speakers.

Looks like a good start! I like the nice colors.
Not that it would make a huge difference, but you could reduce the height of contbg.jpg to 1px instead of 5px. It would reduce file size a tiny bit.
It's definitely not necessary, but it woudn't hurt either:D

No, all of the shortcuts didn't work. Copy, paste, etc. It was very frustrating, but I haven't seen the problem since the most recent beta update of 1password. Thats my best guess about the problem.

At the moment they are okay. The rule against simulated signatures is primarily to prevent people from quoting the simulated signatures and leading to increased visibility of the irrelevant information. We'd definitely revisit it if it gets to be an issue with Tapatalk and the like though, just as we're willing to revisit most things.

hey
I have had my mac book pro since early 2010 and have been beginning to notice that when I use it and it is plugged in to the charger cord the left side of the bottom of the computer gets REALLY REALLY hot! It cools off if I unplug the unit, but sometimes I want to work plugged in. Plus I am just not getting the battery life I used to get. On average I have about 4 hours of battery.... Used to get 7+. Any thoughts?
It's normal that the MagSafe adapter and your MBP will get hot while charging. As for your battery life, reset the SMC and calibrate your battery. Instructions for both in the link below. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
