I meant a frame, not an A Frame.

Regardless does anyone have any ideas?

I realize this is later than you asked for, but here regardless.

In GoLive CS2, in the objects toolbar you can drag in a new object (smart I think) that is .swf, or perhaps it was create a new diagram and then drag the .swf object, not sure. Once that is in, in the properties for the object you would simply find all the related items to that file, then GoLive would transfer copies of them to the website directory and you should be all set. Have you tried the Adobe help for GoLive? I seem to remember this topic or something similar being in there....

I've had my macbook pro for a couple months now, 13" 2.66ghz 8gigs ram 500 gig HD, and a couple times a day the computer completely freezes. Doesn't do anything for about 30 seconds then resumes back to normal.

I've tried restarting the ram holding option command P+L, still does nothing. What do I do about this, bring it to apple for replacement or what?

If you have the Home & Business version, with Outlook, you can use the mail merge feature under Tools->Mail Merge Manager: Mail Merge and Office 2011 (http://www.macworld.com/article/158391/2011/03/mail_merge_word.html)

If you don't have Outlook, then you'll need to use another method. Perhaps this thread would be a place to start Custom HTML email in Snow Leopard? (http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2344144&tstart=26) Then you could use Automator to run the Get Selected Messages, Group Mailer & Send Outgoing Messages actions to email them out to your recipient list.

Word tends to butcher HTML code by adding a boatload of clutter and I read somewhere that using Tables is the way to go for keeping formatting with various mail clients.

I have a relative in a hospital, He is going to be a long time recovering so he brought in a notebook computer and can (almost) access the hospital WiFi. He can't reposition their access point, can't get a wired connection. He does get WiFi but it drops out frequently because the signal is weak. Apparently their system is designed to only cover common areas and hallways and he is about 40 feet away from a reliable signal.

So I'm thinking of a hardware fix. Perhaps a WiFi to Ethernet bridge that can use an external antenna and then we aim the antenna at the access point? I think we need to improve reception to make it reliable

    What to get?

By "iPhoto file," do you mean "iPhoto Library"? The iPhoto Library is not a file. It is a bundle, a non-executable version of a MacOS X application bundle. A bundle is a special kind of folder that appears to the user as a file, but it is not a file. It contains all of your iPhoto photographs in individual files.

My suggestion to you is to export the photographs that you want to edit one-by-one. You can't edit all of your photographs at once, so why export them all at once? There is a way to get at your the photographs in your iPhoto Library via the Finder. However, it would be irresponsible for you to do that until you learn how to use Photoshop and learn a lot more about how your system works.

I'm planning to do the same. I'm hoping *someone* is queuing there that early.

Booked the afternoon off just to get Appletastic. I still don't exactly know why.

I'll be in a Chapelfield Apple Tee and girls' hair, rockin' an iPad 1 in the best red case in the universe.

I've really got to have the self control not to buy a smart cover!

I am a complete novice when it comes to video. A friend and I bought the complete 24 Hours DVD series (Series 1 and 2) and my friend ripped the whole series to what I assume is the standard DVD format (e.g. 24_SEASON_1-DISK_1, with both AUDIO_TS and Video_TS subfolders, but the audio subfolders are empty). The whole series takes up 100GB! of space that I do not have on my older MBP (my friend has a Mac Pro with 4 HDs so he is not concerned about the space issue). Can someone advise me as to how to convert these to a more compact yet fairly high quality format? I tried using my copy of WinX HD Video Converter for Mac, but it only allows me to get separate mp4 files (other formats available too) for each segment in the video subfolder, e.g. VTS_01_0.VOB, etc., up to VTS_01_5.VOB and the whole series would be too cumbersome having it split up like that.
As I have no experience in this field I don't know which software would be best for this, or how to go about it. Any advice appreciated.

Has anyone reviewed this? I want to know if its gonna be just like any other 30 dollar speakers cause if so I want it heh. I've got a cordful one right now from CA with subwoofer and 2 speakers, I'm wondering if Googles speaker system would be equal to or greater than mine I have now.

Features include No AC Cord, Surround Sound, Trebel + Base controls, Orange LED when on. Works with Mac apparently ;-)

yeah esp for a machine that will be used pretty sparingly anyway from what i gather from their needs.

has 6GB of memory, 160GB HDD, i have OSX Leopard to give them looks like a 2Ghz i believe, Dual-processor

havent heard back but i think maybe 190 to 200 would be fair

yeah, that is nice that it has all the memory. Good luck grabbing it man. Hope you get a good deal.

I assume you think people on headsets aren't safe drivers? If not, do you plan on being able to distinguish if someone is using one or not?

I definitely like how you're pushing the boundaries of your P&S. You seem to have some idea about composition and lighting.

Perhaps start learning more about DSLRs and things like exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, lens types, etc. before making the $800+ plunge. That way you get some time to learn what you would need, improving your pics now and also save enough money to know for sure if a DSLR is what you need.

It's less of a privilege to own a DSLR and more of a need-based thing. If you think your P&S is limiting what you want to shoot, a DSLR may be the right thing for you. Especially since the nut behind the camera is what creates the photographic magic, not the camera itself (there are caveats to that statement, but you get the point).

Recently, my mom came in while cleaning around my room, you know, just tiding up a bit. She unplugged my WD My Book Studio LX on accident, and quickly plugged it back in. Before, it was hitting speeds that it should normally hit, 800 megabits a second (FireWire 800). I did a verify of the disk, and tried to repair it, but got that the disk COULD NOT be unmounted. The disk is now trailing along at speeds of about 17 GB/10 minutes, which is only about 30 megabytes a second, when normally is should be around 100 megabytes (800 megabits) a second. I even restarted the computer, but haven't tried resetting the SMU yet, would that help?

If you have had any past experiences that you have resolved, PLEASE, tell me below, and I'd gladly appreciate it! (:

    http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e61/wcooper97/Screenshot2011-04-12at64856PM.png

Your formatting was screwed up. You need to repair the disk. Also I have trouble believing that you were getting 100MB/sec (Try 30-60MB/sec) on a standard WD hard drive (non SSD I assume).
    Cheers

I expect it to be somewhere inbetween the dual core G5 2ghz and 2.3ghz in performance. Powermac level performance.

That fast!? My god.... it's sounds just...so....incredible....

Gonna make my 1.2 GHz G4 look like a 386. Damn you Apple, I don't have anywhere near the money for a new system. I just hope 10.5 will run nicely on my machine when I bump it up to 1.25GB RAM.
