My guess is that iTunes will support wireless syncing of content, contacts, calendar etc over home wifi and public wifi for iPhone and iPod touch (also over edge for iPhone).
Another possibility is that you will be able to buy movies & other high def content for download from your iPod tough/iPhone, your home iTunes will then download it and transfer to your Apple TV automagically.

USB will be obsolete by then, nobody can verify whether the iPod is still working or not.
Btw, have you checked the prices of 8" floppy disks lately? The single-density ones.

In other news, the Dell recall will cost Sony up to $430m. If all batteries are going at the same rate, Apple & Dell could cost Sony $619m. Add in what Sony will lose on its own machines...I'm guessing close to $1b. That would wipe out almost an entire year of profits (estimated at 130b Yen or $1,116,119,303). They may be screwed.
Not to mention the 200 dollars they're going to be losing on each PS3 they sell....:eek:

I believe the GeForce 7600 GT is on par with the X1800 GT, faster in some cases, slower in others. It's a pretty good graphics card. I would just like to see the GeForce 7600 GT bump out the 7300 GT on Mac Pro.
Does anyone know how the 7300GT compares to the X1600? I am leaning towards the 20" to replace my 17" rev. A iMacG5, but would upgrade to the 24" is the GPU is a big bump.

This would be nice. I'd like to be able to tell my phone to read an email or text to me when I receive one while driving. However, I get into arguments all the time with the Siri app. We weren't on speaking terms for about a month after the last fiasco, (she kept telling me she couldn't help me because she didn't know my home address even though I wasn't at home and I couldn't see how knowing that would help me find a Taco Bell), but we recently made amends and the relationship, although tenuous, is improving.

Exactly why it wouldnt happen, cause Apple doesn't want to give people choice at one price point. Its either desktop or portable.... pick ur price... and low beho thats the mac for you. Period. No disputing the great Oracles at Cupertino.

I am professional editor. I get paid to edit. I just dont edit giant films. I think there is a little discrediting going on for what makes a professional editor.......A good editor is a good editor, it is an art. Just because someone is an "expert" on AVID, PP, FCP doesnt mean they are an good editor. Same as someone who knows how to put paint on canvas isnt necessarily Van Gogh.
I think this version will help us tell stories easier and more efficient. It is still up to the editor what he/she will do with the tool.

Wow, this is great news, I'm impressed - I never saw a 24" iMac in the cards!
And, since it's Merom, this makes the likelihood of seeing a Conroe minitower even better - after all, Apple has to stick the Conroe chip in something, right? ;) :D As it stands now, since Merom is technically the "mobile chip", Apple has 5 mobile solutions (2 mobile MB/MBPs, 3 not-so-mobile iMacs) and a workstation solution (Mac Pro), so where is the desktop solution? :p :cool:

Has anyone noticed that the scoring is sometimes a bit off in matchmaking? I was playing today and the in game scoreboard said i had 17 kills but the stats after the game said i had 22. Also everyone scores added up to be way more then 75 which is impossible as it is first to 75. (no suicides or betrayals)

How could Wal Mart feel threatened by anything.
They are more powerful than most countries.
the ITMS has been kickin in full swing for years now, and Wal Mart still leads in CD sales, and music distribution by a long shot.
I hope this goes really public and gets exposed through the media, so everyone knows what WM is trying to do.

there was a thing last week where tweetdeck's new app was pulled because it crashed constantly. most of the problems with Windows over the last 20 years have been third party apps and drivers and not the OS itself, yet MS got the blame. Apple learned a lesson from that. it took MS years to change the architecture to limit bad code from developers
Add the jailbroken iPhone hack and you've got a couple of good reasons for Apple to put on the Big Brother hat. I totally understand the frustrations and drawbacks to such a system, but apps for the most part don't totally bring the device down. A few may crash, but the phone still works and the apps get fixed.
If you like an open platform better, you have plenty of choices. Nobody's forcing you to stick with an iPhone (unless you signed a contract). I'm a geek, but I'm not geeked out to the point where I get all hot and bothered about OPEN SOURCE! Oooooooh! Yeah, Linux has been going with that for my whole lifetime and has its piddling little market share.

I wish I was getting a new battery. Just the fact that I could have one replaced for nothing is quite thrilling, but I have this feeling that more batteries are going to be recalled in the future from Apple.

My laptop has been very hot to the touch recently, and my battery only holds a 24% charge. I wonder if this has anything to do with it.
