I think the best thing would mean that The Beatles catalogue would finally be remastered and also in 5.1. The LOVE Album in 5.1 is AMAZING. You can quibble with a few of the mashups but the sound is so crisp and immediate.
Now for me I would never buy them from iTunes because of the quality, but this would serve both parties VERY well. If any of you have surround you have to hear the LOVE album that way. Remeber since it is really a soundtrack to a show, it is sequenced that way with several transition pieces that are really berautiful. The drums, the bass, the vocals are immediate!! A few of the masup ups are forces but again you will be in awe of the sound recording.
It kind of gives to the impression that OASIS never had one roiginal idea;)

Your logic is flawed, kid. You need the right tools, BEFORE you can make money with them.
Learn the trade, not the tool and you won't have that problem, "kid". I didn't need a 1k$ compiler/profiling suite to learn programming and I certainly didn't need a 500k$ PA-RISC box with 20k$ worth of HP-UX licenses to learn Unix systems administration.
Yet these days I do both at a level that could earn me enough to buy that stuff (and I actually do the Unix stuff everyday professionally which does pay enough to buy that stuff, though I sometimes regret not going into the programming side).
Why you would need every last version of the entire CS suite to get into graphics and design quite eludes the mind.

Exactly what I was saying. Apple is based in Cupertino, California. It's not even 8 am here yet. Usually stuff happens between 9am-12pm
When they announced the changes to the MBP C2D, it was done by now.. if you go back to the posting on MacRumors, (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/10/20061024083823.shtml) it was done at 8:38am EST (5:38AM Cupertino time).

I assume that you have the Mono set. If so, you have the better one (other than missing Abbey Road and Let It Be. As has been said many times they are better mixes and the differences are fairly significant in places. Due to the differences, it's easier to argue that you need the both.
I like the Mono set packaging, with the replica sleeves, but the stereo set packaging is also very good with better sleeve notes and the mini documentaries. The box set comes with all the documentaries on one DVD which is better than watching them individually on the CD's
Go on, you know you want to. :)
I don't have the mono set but I listen to lossless CD rips with my iPhone set to mono. In mono I get to hear what George Martin really had in mind. An additional benefit is that mono tends to hide George's horrible guitar playing, attempts at singing songs too difficult for their singing abilities and most of all horrible stereo versions that resulted from down mixing with primitive recording equipment.
In all fairness to The Beatles the modern concept of stereo intended for headphone use with centered voices, duplicated guitars at maximum spread and slightly spread but centered drums hadn't been invented yet. Especially for the earlier albums the mono sound is The Beatles sound.

There are many possibilities for the graphics of the Macbook. The GMA950 is at about the end of the road. Maybe we'll see Intel's X3000. If not, one of Nvidia's or ATi's integrated solutions would be nice.
I doubt we will see a change in graphics. I mean, I still see Dell and the other computer makers offering the 950 for their "consumer" laptops. Apple is usually a few weeks behind Dell et. al. in offering the newer components, so I would be very pleasantly surprised if Apple actually changed the graphics.

I think I would want a retina display first. I'd rather wait for battery technology to improve before having an iPad with a shorter battery than my ipad 2.

well considering the CFO of verizon said the unlimited data plans were not a long term solution, yeah it's pretty feasible to think that they won't keep it around forever.

So...are you on VZW? Do you actually have a care in this matter, or is it just another way to rant on others?
AT&T still has people on $30 unlimited because they are grandfathered in. So will VZW, if they actually change the plans.

As an aside, that little localized color-correcting demo (watch the video of the event) is more sophisticated than Aperture's Brushes approach. It would be nice to see that feature move over to stills. And if FCX can render all that heavy video that quickly and in the background, why does it still take more than, say, instantly to load a RAW file? They need to put that guy Randy Ubillos in charge of the Aperture team for next rewrite.

FYI, for those that say "who cares about Walmart" there is this little fact (of which I'm not going to sight a source because I'm busy at work).
Walmart sells 40% of all DVDs sold in the US.
Think about that. Of all the places that sell DVDs, of all the places people go, 4 of every 10 is bought at walmart. That is ridicules power, and not something the studios will just gloss over. They will make sure they know what they are doing before making steps forward. Maybe it won't matter at all, but it isn't a number to just ignore.

Nice, but not essential. I usually have the patience to wait until I'm home to install an update. Unless it's an iOS update..
More important to me is over-the-air syncing. That would be a killer!

I heard something that the catalog will be release again soon, and since it will be available, hopefully, soon on iTunes...
Does this mean these versions will have a better audio quality, than the cds I bought almost twenty years ago???

It works great everywhere except some apple computers, iphones and iPods.
But you knew that.
Put down the Koolaid and step away from the keyboard.
That's because Adobe hasn't written a good version for the Mac yet. The mac version is a bloated resource hog. Everyone knows that.

"What?? They released them already?? But I just bought...GAH!!!!!"
- That would be me if I had recently purchased a Macbook, but since I still own a PB G4, I just like to look at the complaints. If there is anything I learned from apple is that they release new products every other day, so by the time I have enough money or desire to purchase a new computer, macbooks shall be obsolete, and I will probably be outdated too with a MacBook Pro (or whatever I buy when the time comes) desiring the next new line of products, let us call them...MegaBooks...yes.

Are you streaming that over your network?.....cool...I'll have to try it out when I get out of class...:) Wait a minute...
What do you mean by streaming over my network...? Are you speaking about shared libraries...? If so then: no, I'm not streaming... :o
I've had my AirPort Express hooked up to my stereo for so long that "streaming", for me means playing over remote speakers using AirTunes...
If I was wrong, and got your hopes up needlessly (I've not tried shared libraries, yet), I'm sincerely sorry... :o :o :o
Edit: I just tried accessing my girlfriend's library over our network, and you're quite right, the cover art browsing view does not work (actually no cover art is showing). Again sorry... :o

The system uses some of the 4 GiB of physical address space to map I/O busses and devices.
x86 has had a 64Gb physical address space available for quite a while.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension
Mac OS X on x86 requires PAE AIUI.
I have a 4 GiB Dell D620, but Windows and Linux only see about 3.1 GiB of that due to the I/O space issues. I expect that OSX86 has the same restrictions - since it's a hardware issue.
Don't know about Windows, but Linux can't see all 4Gb because some of it is reserved for the kernel.

You can build your own kernel with a custom user/kernel split, eg. I've used one with the reserved kernel space reduced to <0.5Gb...

I think I figured out what is bothering me so much with the UI (other than the flash-like scroll bars):
Every aspect of iTunes uses Apple's system font, EXCEPT for the iTunes Store - all of a sudden it's Arial, or Helvetica, or something...it really throws me off. All of the Mac OS (not just iTunes) uses Lucida Grande, except for the store.
Very strange, and un-apple looking.

Ouch.
I get 36 hours on my Droid X without any issues...
If youre getting 36 hours youre barely using it for anything more than texting/calls/web browsing etc.
Youre definitely not getting 36 hours without charging playing games/streaming music etc. on top of texting/calls/web browsing. the iPhone too gets 36 hours if you use it like you do.

They definitely just need to have an update to 220 GBs that was previously discussed here. Idk what I'd do. The biggest iPod Touch is way too small and way more money.
