possibilities:
1. Airport Express 2.0 with support for video streaming or (Airtunes 2.0)
2. Wireless AppleTV
3. WiMax or 3G integrated with new MacBooks
4. Slingbox to iPhone (as already rumored)
5. Some sort of iTunes integration with in-flight entertainment
6. Super-light MacBooks
7. Phil Shiller suspended from the roof using an ingenious system of wires and runners. I'm sure Phil was made to jump through the air with an iBook in 1999 on to a huge safety mat.
Earlier this week I saw a rumor about Apple and Garmin joining forces at this years MacWorld. I hope it's true as I bought some Garmin stock earlier this week and already hold 899 shares of Apple.
Garmin and Disney have partnered (http://www.atmapsend.com/) before and I believe Steve Jobs has more than a passing interest in Disney (board member), so this only adds fuel to the fire.

After upgrade things are better and quieter. I always have my activity monitor running and it is always showing allot of CPU activity and my fans are/were always running on full blast. After the update CPU activity seems much lower. The fans, when they do come on, slowly and quietly spool up. And I don't have a temp monitor, but my lap said that it is running cooler. I don't know if I am crazy or not. Is anyone else noticing better processor performance? I say great fix Apple.
And in the update process Apple does say that even those that even those macbooks that were sent in for repairs (heat sink, MB, etc) need to do the update. My guess is that at the time you had your book repaired, Apple didn't know the real problem, so they threw in some logic boards and some heat sinks in the hope that would fix the issues. Just my thought.

here's some of my speculation about this update...
While we don't know exactly how the Firmware update was designed, it would appear as though the update will simply ignore symptoms of a SMC short circuit to allow the laptop to continue operating. If this is the case it may degrade a MacBook's ability to detect true over-heat situations.
AppleInsider had previously reported that a new MacBook logic board was under development to eliminate the root hardware issue, but a release date was not known.
Perhaps it allows the MacBook to recognize the output you would get from a short-circuited thermometer cable and ignore it, while still monitoring its regular output (at least when it's not short-circuited). Or maybe it decreases the threshold at which the fans kick it, preventing the heat sink from expanding as much. I doubt that Apple would provide a firmware update that would instruct the MacBook to ignore all information from the thermometer, as this would be a recipe for disaster in no time.

Great, another store that carries iPad 2 but won't ever have any in stock. LOL.
Unfortunately I think 80% of iPad 2 supply is going to scalpers and resellers, the moment Apple stores get them in stock they sell out and craigslist is then flooded with heavily marked up iPads. It's kind of ridiculous.
On a related note, isn't it a bit weird Apple hasn't announced any sales figures yet? They're usually quick to brag when devices hit a million sales in a short amount of time.
I work across the street from a RS. They are supposed to get them in around noon. The manager said he would call me as soon as there in. Now thats customer service, if he really calls

Yet people happily go there and spend money in droves, because as much as they dislike a large company bullying other companies (and in this case, the competition) and as much as they dislike supporting sweatshops or a bad employer, they dislike wasting their meager paycheck on markups even more.
It's the same Starbucks mentality that fills the world with hypocrisy.
I think you're giving people too much credit - I'll bet most don't know about Wal-Mart's shadyness, don't care and wouldn't care if they DID know.
It might not be David v.s. Goliath but all the suits at Wal-Mart certainly are a bunch of Philistines.

"Within the confines of this low orbit dry-dock, UNSC craft undergo rapid repair and rearmament in support of the enduring war effort. But for the small squads of infantry who now fight over the mirrored interior hallways and open central hangar bay, this platform no longer provides any safe harbor whatsoever whether the close quarters combat is occurring inside or out of its artificial gravitational field."
Anchor 9 allows 2-8 Players to face off in game variants including Free for All, Team Slayer and Team Objective.

Tempest supports 8 16 Players and offers a variety of modes including Free for All, Team Slayer, Team Objective and Big Team Battle. Tempest also provides players with a huge Forge palette, allowing them to create new custom map variants that can be shared with the community-at-large.

I believe, as scripture details, that God established a covenant with Abraham and from this covenant the Jewish nation was born.
So the all-powerful super-being took a particular interest in Abraham's plight and no other (we could in theory suggest that the deity might have tried with others but Abraham was his first real success, which would neither improve nor detract from the story). Thereafter, the lives and fates of he and his children were bound to the deity, which bestowed upon them boons and miseries, as it saw fit.
Yet Mighty Yggdrasil, the Songlines, Sun Wukong, Tyhee Saghalie, etc, these are more absurd than the concept of an exclusive god? You earlier put forth that unbelievers cannot do good that is not vain or self glorifying: the history of your religion (by the approved texts) shows that you do have an intimate understanding of what those terms mean.
I understand that you think your view of the evidence is the correct view and I respect your right to have that opinion. However, the whole of both the Jewish and the Christian faith would disagree.
And the truth is democratic.

I disagree that people don't care about flash players. Plenty of sites out there use flash extensively and do not offer a non-flash version. Adding adobe flash capability to the iphone would make it that much better in my opinion. Just because apple doesn't want it, doesn't mean it's not useful. I for one believe that apple "sometimes" listens to it's users, and if enough people complain, apple will react. Think apps for the iphone (remember apple's stand, it's an ipod, not a computer), cut/paste and push service. Background apps seem to be the next barrier to be broken, why not flash?
As far as adobe and MS "holding back" web progression, the whole point of flash is that it is a tool that makes highly interactive media sites easier to accomplish.
Users don't care about flash, they care about websites. Some site developers seem to care more about Flash than about their users. Therefore, we get crappy Flash "websites" that don't work for the users. Who is at fault here? The developer. It's the developer's job to use technologies that will be future-proof and well, not suck.

What happens to the Facebook app now? Do they get someone else in or do they just let it rot?
He stated that support for the Facebook app would be taken over by someone else.
He said he personally was frustrated and going back to web programming.
Let's see, before Apple, there was no useful mobile app market.
Anyone who's had smartphones knows about Handango.
Handango has been around for a decade, with tens of thousands of apps for all kinds of phones. Some carriers even included Handango's specific store app, which existed years before the iPhone came along.

"You're always fighting things that are opposed to each other. As an example, take the PlayStation 3. It's a great game machine, but it's not such a great music player. There are many reasons for that, but the biggest reason is that it doesn't fit in your pocket, does it? Games need nice big screens. Music players need to fit in your pocket. So you have to pick one and optimize for it, and the second thing you do will certainly be suboptimal. Maybe you can do it, but it will be suboptimal.
So you can do video on these devices if you want to, but the things that are suboptimal about it are the screen size and the battery lifethings like that. The fundamental problem here is...Headphones are a miraculous thing. You put on a pair of headphones and you get the same experience as with a great pair of speakers. Well, there's no such thing as headphones for video. There's not something I can carry with mesomething I can put onthat will give me the same experience that I get when I'm watching my 50-inch plasma display at home. And until somebody invents that, you're going to have these opposing constraints."
Makes it sound like no video ipod, and yet he released one just a couple months later, even though the big constraints he listed hadn't been eliminated.
Well, battery life jumped dramatically in the 5th gen iPods (and again in 5.5G). And when Steve debuted the video store the iPod was one device to display that video on, not the only one. Contrast paying $9.99 for a video which will play quite well on your iPod as well as on your 23" or 30" Mac screen, to paying a friggin' premium to buy the same movie on UMD (likewise without the extra features) that can only be watched on a little 3" screen in your hand, period.
If the industry hadn't been touting the ability to buy movies just for your portable device, this would be a classic straw man argument: knock down the stupidest possible use for a device in order to tarnish the whole device. But, it wasn't straw-man, because that's exactly what Sony was trying to sell, and what the cell phone makers were trying to sell! Steve's blessed with straw man competitors!
Likewise, you see here Jobs knocking down what you'd think, had you been on a desert island the past three months, to be an obvious straw-man. Obviously trying to pick up chicks by flashing them your music library from across the room is only a half step removed from flashing anonymous strangers on the street. It's just a plain stupid idea, two steps beyond the border into creepytown, and by far not the best use of a wireless connection between two portable devices. And, worse, we know from experience that it'll be clunky as well as creepy because Microsoft's idea of an "easy" connection process typically involves three "simple" 200-word dialogs, a click-through EULA promising you'll only listen to the shared song alone and get the permission of Major League Baseball prior to letting anyone else listen in, and a "minor" virus infection. But, this disaster is what Microsoft has been touting!
IMHO, Steve Jobs is a marketing genius because he's able to see the obvious flaws in other companies' marketing pitches, and likewise able to hide the obvious flaws in his own. All of which is to say that, yes, when Apple adds wireless capabilities to their iPod I have little doubt it will have me drooling. They have a track record of that, which is backed by a rather solid track record of actually delivering on the drool-worthy product. I doubt, however, that Steve will be going around telling lonely geeks that iPod wireless music sharing will get them a date with the hot chick at the club.

While you're at it why not steal car if you can't pay for it? Or go to your local store and swipe an iPhone because you can't afford it? Sounds reasonable then I'm sure.
Also, while I'd love cheaper pricing, they are basing their pricing off of economic considerations from their home country and pricing their software accordingly. And it always cracks me to hear "no one will starve they makes lots of money!" well they have to in order to keep making new software!
