So i'm guaging the idea of selling my mbp since I am no longer tied to OSX due to my job. Since than it has seen less and less use as I am spending more time on my desktop.
Its a mid 09, with a 2010 battery. Intel X25 160GB SSD, Gskill 8gb ddr3 upgrade, 9600gt 256mb, and apple care is on it for the next year and a half (1 yr 9 months left). Good condition no hardware defects or issues.
Just not sure what to price it at considering the 2011's.

The optical disc is fine. Been reading and writing DVDs with no problems.
The file downloaded is BootCamp_3.1_32-bit.exe
I can mount and open the Win 7 DVD, under Mac OS-X, so again the drive is reading the DVD OK.

Ever since I installed USB Overdrive on my imac last night, my mouse has been clicking randomly whenever I move it. This is making it a REAL pain to do ANYTHING, especially considering that I'm a graphic designer and need a STABLE mouse. This thing just clicks, the scroll button clicks, and the right button clicks... whenever I'm moving it. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know how to change it. I'm scared to move the mouse over ANY files because it will just drag things randomly or open things that I didn't want it to open. Seriously annoying!
I've uninstalled USB Overdrive - that didn't help. Switching to another USB drive didn't help. And I'm worried that buying a new mouse won't fix it. What do I do? I don't want to have to back up my entire computer and reset it just to fix the damn problem.
I have a 24 inch imac with Intel and the standard wired mouse that comes with it.

I'm curious if anyone plays Puzzle Pirates.
If not, I highly suggest it. Puzzle Pirates is a MMORPG, but very different from any other you will find, the game is based around a collection of puzzles varying from something like Tetris to Bejewled, to Rocket Mania. I bought a Powermat for my iPhone 4 recently and have been using that as my main charging source (it may or may not make any difference) But I'm 17 and started to work a 8 hour job during the day, 5 days a week and at this job we are allowed to listen to our iPods or other media devices while working. I have a very large assortment of songs in my library but I like variety, so I choose to listen to the radio online from my phone. The thing is, I will have a 100% charge when I clock in at 8 A.M. but 5 or so hours later, let's say around 2 P.M. I will have a 5% charge. Is this normal? I thought it was 36 hour audio playback, but I didn't know if that applied while surfing online.

Hi, I'm selling my 2007 White MacBook.
In line with most of the suggestions on this forum I've securely wiped the drive and done a re-install but have hit a problem.
The machine came with OS X 10.4 Tiger but I've since upgraded it to Leopard then Snow Leopard.
Ideally I'd like to give the new owner the new MacBook experience with the spinning Welcome text but I'd also like to stick them on the latest Snow Leopard.
The problem is, when I do a fresh install of Snow Leopard the machine won't have the iLife applications (they are on the original Tiger install disks).
Is there a way I can get the iLife apps on there without needing to set up an account on the machine?
If not, what's the best thing to do?
Setting up an account is something I'd rather not do (I know I'd be annoyed if I bought a second-hand MacBook and it already had an account on it).
On the other hand installing Tiger and giving them the upgrade disks also seems a bit poor too.
Any suggestions please?

The booth was in a bad location but the display caught my eye. I was happy that it did. Very cool. This will work for my small business in CA, KY and IN but heard from others the release was to be last year. Can't wait forever.

You need to stop using a POP account and switch to either IMAP or Exchange.
POP downloads emails from the inbox, while IMAP and Exchange will sync it.

Oracle cannot stop Google from using/distributing Android. At most, they can tack on patent licensing costs. Push comes to shove, Android can move away from the patented technologies, and only damages would have to be paid out to Oracle.
But those licensing costs/damages just got a severe cut here. Of course, everyone who actually took a look at how Dalvik works vs the Oracle patents aren't too afraid at this point. This isn't about Android (the patent claims), only the Dalvik VM remember.

Reminds me of a client who had this problem. Turned out he mixed up his PBs, and this ejection problem was happening to the PB that had a read-only DVD drive.
In other words, check out your System Profiler to confirm you can write DVDs.

Thanks! Yep. Open 'Image Capture' and set the preferences to NOT open iPhoto when camera is plugged in.
