Well, given how tiny the Nano is you shouldn't have any problem hiding it from him... ;)
Very funny! Alternatively, buy it for him and then use it yourself?

Thank you very much everyone for your replies and suggestions.
She already handed in her work and all was good.
It was a really short notice request, because she became very stressed.
Thank you again.

Hi, I post here and there at the MBP forums. I recently purchased a 13" Pro and I'm finding the low resolution a little bothersome. After momentary use, my eyes begin to hurt and strain a bit. I wear glasses and recently updated my prescription so I don't believe it has to do with my actual eyesight.
I've been mulling over switching to an Air for a number of reasons, namely the hi-res screen and the portability. I'm discovering the Pro is a little overpowered (minus the hi-res screen, of course) for my needs, and would be okay with the Air's specs, especially if I decide to wait until the rumored refresh this June. Given this, I feel portability and the hi-res screen will benefit me more.
However, doing some research, I noticed a higher resolution screen means the texts are smaller, and I'm afraid smaller text may be counter productive to my eye issues. Do you 13" Air owners have issue reading texts? Do you feel you have to enlarge or zoom in often? I write (MS Word) and browse/email often. Or is the high resolution screen so sharp that small text aren't a problem? (And yes, this is assuming the resolution doesn't change with the refresh).
Anything you guys can shed a light on would be great. Appreciate it.

twitlonger support appears to have been removed though
I asked Loren abut it and he just removed the inline view. You can still post with it.

For those of you using the SMP client, are you finding that you have to run pretty much 24/7 in order to make the work unit deadlines?
I'm using the InCrease client, which on my iMac started using the SMP core. The deadlines are tights, and I am probably going to switch to the normal client when I am done with the current unit and just kick off two local cores. That way I have a normal deadline, and both cores work when the iMac is on.

Just what it says - when I'm on the intel GPU, animations start off sluggish, which is really annoying. If I start Twitter (which causes a switch to dGPU) everything is smooth - is anyone else seeing this?..

I suppose it's Sony's fault for not having a low-speed Memory Stick then. I've found SD's to be perfect. I've played 640*480 H.264 videos off SD cards in the past, heck even MicroSD has never lagged. The comparison was just what one shop here offered, of course it would be different at a pro camera shop or wherever.
I doubt the PSP needs anything faster than that.

Download "Around Me." Wherever you are - it will list everything from gas, motels, Apple Store, hotels, movie theaters, pharmacies, supermarkets etc., using GPS.
Fandango for movies - what's playing around where you are.
Both are free.

What ISO did you shoot this at? With an aperture of 1.4 and the reflected light I think you could've afforded to do ISO400 even, with steady enough hands. Looks like you shot it at 1600+ though.
Are you f ing serious? Trying to tell me what available light was there? This is a bit underexposed and it was shot at 1/80, f/1.4, ISO3200. Come on now. I know my stuff. Don't you think if I could've shot this at 400, I would've?

I had been using Windows XP in Boot Camp for almost a year and decided to install Windows 7 instead. I am having trouble opening many files. In XP, I used MacDrive to read/write to my Macintosh HD and I have updated it to the one with Windows 7 support, but every program (games) I try to run off of it give me a network error, "Network Error: Windows cannot access (FILE PATH). Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise it might be a problem with your network..."
This only happens with applications on the Macintosh HD.
I copied the file onto the windows partition it runs normally, but i will run out of space soon if I have to keep doing this. Does anyone know how to fix it? Everything worked fine in XP. Thanks.

Thanks for the answers, you two.
The lack of screen real estate is one of the things I lament about my 13" Pro; everything just feels cramped when I start opening more programs. If reading the smaller texts is not an issue for 13" Air users, I think the switch will be safe. I will wait and see what the Air refresh brings...
If any other 13" Air owners want to chime in, I'd love to hear more.
I think you will love the 13" Air - especially because of the extra pixels. Try one and you will see. I went from a Unibody MB 1280x800 to my 13" MB Air, and the increase in screen real estate (27 %) blew me away. I could finally use spreadsheets on my notebook without feeling cramped.

. I'm actually more prone to just downloading a save file from Gamefaqs and just driving about.
yep same here. and messing about with the cheat codes.
For next gen GTA - they really need deformable landscapes and more buildings to enter.

Sorry ddtlm, I think you misread what i posted ( or a futzed up my post) anywho, orginally on august 13th the apple site said it would be a 6-8 week wait. Two weeks later on the 28th, the 6-8 week wait went down to 4-6 weeks.
I guarantee in 2 weeks it will say 2-4 weeks. And eventually it will widle away to 5-7 days, 3-5 days, and then 1-3
So still count on the powermac 1.25 coming out around the same time the october 1st monitor rebate occurs. And if my predictions are right those could include new monitors from Paris just two weeks prior.

I wouldn't bother trying to mimic photos like that. Its like actively learning to put lipstick on a pig.
But if you MUST, it looks like they over-smoothed the skin, then selectively gaussian-blurred the top corners.
But seriously, it is a terrible, really bad no-good trend that is on it's way out the backdoor already.

Israeli firm fringland (http://iwww.fring.com), one of the earliest (http://www.macrumors.com/iphone/2008/04/15/fring-brings-voip-and-to-iphone-touch/) VoIP services (http://www.macrumors.com/2008/10/03/fring-enables-voip-calls-over-wifi-for-iphone-with-skype-support/) for the iPhone and iPod touch, has announced (http://www.fring.com/blog/?p=1791) the launch of video calling for the iPhone and iPod touch. The feature is included in the latest version of the company's fring iPhone application [App Store (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fring/id290948830?mt=8), Free].
Unfortunately, because the iPhone's camera is on the rear of the device, only one-way incoming video calls are possible, although the application will support two-way video calling if the iPhone and iPod touch gain front-facing cameras in the future. The company already supports two-way video calling on several Nokia phones (http://www.fring.com/blog/?p=1659) with such cameras.Right now iPhone and iPod touch users can receive and make fring and Skype video calls entirely over Internet connection (for free!) and see the person on the other end. When a front camera is placed on these, we'll have two-way video calls available here too just as we do on all the supported Nokia devices.
A promotional video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50DkFGXi-QA) highlighting the new video functionality has also been released.
