I know it is jpeg data because the key in the plist is called "jpegphoto". And what I posted is just the beginning. I shortened it b/c that actual data is very long. Thanks!
It could still be JPEG data, but without the JFIF/EXIF headers or with the headers later in the stream. If so you might have trouble interpreting it without necessarily knowing the image's dimensions, etc...
Do you find 0xFFE0????4A46 anywhere in the stream?

History Will Write :
1) The mistake was Microsoft competing with the Creative Zen (remember it).
2) The result is Microsoft killed both products;
3) The Zen had the market share (US and Internationally)
4) MS entered late, never really in the international marketplace, US only.
5) Both competing with the iPod that was global, was a mistake.

If it was any other store I would say no but Apple are famously accommodating (and probably more so if you've just spent thousands on a Mac Pro).
Then again, if you can afford said thousands, just buy the bluetooth keyboard separately and keep the wired as a spare!

I just ordered myself one of OWC's wicked new 6G SSDs, plus an optical drive bay adapter so I can put the stock rotating hard drive in place of the optical drive for extra storage.
I want to have a portable USB optical to take along in the bag when I'm doing repairs, though, and it seems like a waste to buy a brand new one and shelve the pull from my MBP in case of warranty repair. So I wanted to get a USB enclosure for it, preferably bus powered.
You can get one from MaxUpgrades for $25; they sell it as part of a kit with an optical drive bay adapter, but since I got one from OWC I'd just be ordering the drive case:
http://www.maxupgrades.com/istore/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_ID=186
...but once you add shipping you're looking at over $30, which is basically the price of a whole external. Has anybody bought one of those cases, and if so, was it nice enough in terms of build quality to be worth $30?
An alternate would be this Syba brand one from Newegg, which would end up being about $23 shipped:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817801052
Anybody by any chance tried that one? Other recommendations for a case for a slot-loading slim optical?
You need to get case that is made for slot loading optical drives. If you don't the problem is there is nothing to protect the disc when it comes out of the drive from scrapping the bottom of the drive. Will it work in the case? Yes. Will it look good? No. Personally I would just buy an external disc drive considering how cheap they are.
Cheers

Where can I buy it at?
You can buy it straight from ATI. That's what I did with mine. I warn you, however, to hold onto your receipt. My X800XT is awesome for games, but it's created a problem in that I can no longer put my computer to sleep.

Hmm.. Just remember that, while the technologies Apple may use in a cell phone will not be new or novel in themselves, their execution and use will be.
There were MP3 players before the iPod, it was the execution of the technology, not th technology itself...

Why wanna wait for a 300$ iTV half a year when you can have a 24" iMac now?!?!?!?!? And I'm laughing: WIRELESS... but Ethernet Port etc. p.p.... very helpful! No thanks guys, I'm gonna buy the Cinema-iMac!!!
News-flash: iMac is NOT a replacement or an alternative to the iTV. If you think that it is, you are just fooling yourself.

Hi, need a little help from the web guru's.
So my site has a gallery page, with a bunch of images. I've used css to get border-radius, reflections, etc. The css reflections however don't render in all browsers, Firefox being the most important one. So as a graceful degradation I added a box-shadow to make the images look better in Firefox/Opera. Comparing Safari and Firefox/Opera, this works perfectly - reflection / no shadow in Safari, and shadow / no reflection in Firefox/Opera.
Google Chrome on the other hand, even though it uses webkit decides to render the box-shadow despite there being no -webkit- prefix. Is there any way to have the box-shadow display in FF/O but not in Chrome? The shadow kind of ruins the reflection.
The website is temporarily hosted here - costantini.mw gallery (http://f3-preview.host-ed.net/costantini.mw/Gallery/gallery.html)
While we're at it, the site is unfinished but some feedback on other pages and the design would be appreciated.
Cheers guys,
Stef

Yojiirill needs to check out Pinkerton.
Raditude is fun though.
Pinkerton is their best album. But the first 3 were all good. After that, it all goes down hill fast.

Many jumping ship - I know a few who say the only complaint with their AT&T iPhone is the dropped voice calls...
I don't have that problem - on T-Mobile, of course... ;)

This is good but they need to be better about how they treat the developers. The also need to figure out how to better organize the app store. They should have a wishlist and reccomendations.

Hope this fixes the authentication issues I'm having with my work server....only a few of us actually using iPhones or iPads and most mornings it asks for the password but hitting cancel normally just gets rid of the box...annoying.

Hello mac fans,
I've been looking all over the web for a high quality (as in an NTSC vob, or clear 720x480 VHS rip) of the original "1984" commercial for Apple's Macintosh.
(I'm not looking for a youTube version.)
I believe Apple itself used to host high quality mov files of the advertisment a few years ago, but not any more, unfortunately.
Please, if you know a working URL where I can download "1984", I would be grateful if you would point me towards it.
Thanks. Any ideas?

How much did you pay for it?
I ask as you can get an aluminum enclosure for about $12 from Rosewill that is far better than the one used on the Passport, and a Western Digital Scorpio Blue or Black, which are farrrrrr better drives in terms of reliability and speed. For $120, you can build a drive with a 750GB Scorpio Black, which IMO is the best HDD on the market that is reasonably priced, and many people here will testify to their quality and speed. Add 15-20 bucks and the enclosure can have FW as well as USB2. As much as I love WD, I HATE the Passports and have not been happy with their overall reliability.

So, recently moved to a 2011 Unibody MBP from a 2007 Santa Rosa MBP. More significantly, moved from a single-button trackpad to a no-button trackpad.
I am having some difficulties with drag and drop over on Windows 7. There don't seem to be such issues on the OSX side.
Namely, drag and drop is really difficult since I need to press the trackpad and drag. I would usually just hold the button and drag - and on the OSX side, I seem to be able to press and hold one finger and drag with the other.
Not working on the Windows 7 side.
I tried the drag lock option under BootCamp settings, but it is terribly cumbersome to use.
Any thoughts?
