I love how everybody is like "I've got the CDs who cares" or "Buy the CDs they are cheaper". The Beatles on iTunes isn't for you. It is for people who don't buy CDs, it's for the future when the majority of people get digital music and it's certainly for a whole generation of kids who won't know what a CD is or care, in the same way that vinyl is now seen as archaic.
I'm sure I am repeating someone else's thoughts, but it doesn't seem clear to a lot of people.
The real problem is you are losing the "feel" of those albums from Vinyl.
I'm a Gen Xer and tapes were b and Cd's were the big thing when I was growing up.
I had the luxury of having parents who had a Grundig Majestic Stereo with record player. I own it now. It captures a lot more of the recording than digital ever can.
Case and Point Rolling Stones "Let it Bleed"
No comparison. I love digital music because its easy to store. That's it. Quality goes to Vinyl hands down. I'm just sayin'. Vinyl is not Archaic is all.

This is awesome news! Sounds like iOS 5 will now give Google's Voice Actions for Android a run for its money. Ha...I even have the Siri app on my home screen (which I seldom use) but after WWDC and seeing its integration into iOS 5, I'll be using it or whatever it will be called a lot more often. Looking forward to WWDC '11! :D

Just read an article that says black men in London commit more than half of street crimes and gun crimes. They make up only 12% of londons population. These statistics are even higher than in the US and they can't blame slavery and Jim crow laws in London like they love to do here. What is the possible reasoning behind this? Very interesting.

The main thing, sadly, is the lack of positive male role models (most gun crime is committed by black men, so Aunt Jemima wouldn't be suitable for them, not sure about Uncle Ben).

I�ve always wondered about a ROC company with manufacturing in the PRC, especially since the PRC seems to want to muscle the ROC out of existence.
Politically on the surface, that may be the case, but economically, China and Taiwan are closely linked, so inking ROC out of existence will have huge repercussions for China and its businesses.

As one consumer, I would love to see macs outperform pc's, but before I am willing to accept there is a problem that will affect apple's profitability I would like to see a business case explaining how apple can make more money by fixing these alleged "problems". But, I really dont care. I use apple because i like it. when apple stops meeting my computer needs, i can go somewhere else, or do without.

At home, my mac is best, because of imovie, itunes, the os, and .mac, etc

The secular bible might come off as a silly idea. But i've often pondered what i will tell my kids when the day comes and they ask "some people in my class are christian and some are jewish, what are we?" Kids hate feeling excluded, so i feel like saying we don't have a religion wouldnt go over well because they really don't understand what it means.

The reason the iPad's file size is so large (593MB) is because it has to install a camera on the top of the iPad, and if you go into the Settings> General> Bezel, you can now change it from Black to White (or vise versa) whenever you want.
This is an awesome update, hurry, download it.

I'm getting a wierd "Can't connect to application instance" from the Australian Apple store. Haven't seen that one before.

What happened to it?
The palm rest (which has already been replaced once) is chipping up from the corner. Its also lifting up from the left side next to the CAPS LOCK button. A few keys (shift and the arrows) are getting mushy. The screen bezel is coming off from the right side. The top of it is chipping off as well.
There are also hairline cracks where the heat is released. Finally the bottom of the thing is heat discolored very dark.
My wife has a new unibody Macbook and the build construction is so much better than my old whitebook.

Never had a classic myself, but I think for some people it works and depending on sales apple will decide if it is worth it or not to continue selling it.
